ABOUT THE NEWS HOLE

It's the new award-winning blog* from the cast and crew of the award-winning television news hour** "Countdown with Keith Olbermann."

We heard about this whole "blogosphere" business from Tom DeLay, and came to the immediate realization that we too, "needed to become involved" in it.

So here it is. Covering the big news, the small news, medium-sized and irregular, The News Hole strives to bring everything you love or hate about Countdown to the internets.

Your feedback and hate mail is encouraged.

That's some quality driving from reporter Stephanie Soviar of NBC affiliate WTHR, Indianapolis.

She was not hurt, and even posted a much better version of the video on her "Sunrise Blog"

Countdown is the best news show on TV and Keith is a brave journalist. His special commentaries are priceless and no one else on TV speaks out the way he does. However, the crappy faux news stories (Anna Nicole, Britney, Tom Cruise, etc etc) diminish the program. Please leave the garbage to Rita (ugh) and don't dumb down the news. There's too much important stuff going on in the world to waste time on such nonsense.
One of the delights of Keith's Keeping Tabs and the #1 story is that, despite the subject matter, it often gives him a chance to display wit and humor along with wry observation. I don't think such focus dumbs down the news as much as it serves as a release and a relief.
