Not really sure how to feel about this...

from crooks & liars...
At the annual Radio/Television Correspondents' Association Dinner last night, comedians Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood of Whose Line Is It Anyway? brought Karl Rove up on stage for a tribute rap song. Not as good as Colbert's roast of President Bush last year, but it's pretty damn funny to see Karl try to get down with his bad self.

"I'm MC Rove!"

Apparently Karl likes to collect stamps and tear the heads off small animals. I'm not even gonna go there…

I'm not sure anyone knows how to respond to this. Perhaps we should give O'Reilly a call and confirm whether "rapper" Rove's "master" is indeed the President. Because of course, "you go after the masters." AH-HA, it all makes sense now!
Oh dear..
Keith: I have to admit, politically, the guy (Rove) is very slick. very very slick. He is so slick I may have a proposition here. The south has a interesting way of determining the top coon dog in the pack. We throw the dog into a large barrel with a couple of coons and if the dog comes out alive and fairly unscathed they are considered top notch. Because he is so slick we should try the same thing with Rove. Throw him into a large barrel with our boy Billy Clinton and see who comes out alive and unscathed. I'll bet on Billy boy.
Our Country is in more trouble then I thought with people like that in charege.
Karl Rove channeling Tupac Shakur is as bad as Lee Atwater channeling Blind Lemon Jefferson. GOP...Goof Off Pimps.
Was anyone else sickened and disgusted by this display at a time when servicemen and women are dying because these "rapmaster" lawmakers can't seem to find the time, resolve, or money to work on the nations problems and the problems we have created around the world? I am an ex-serviceman and recognize we fight to ensure Aerican liberties, including the right to have fun, but this was a prime example of why we need to impeach the whole government (including the Democrats who partied like it was 1999 upon being re-empowered by the American people to bring a modicum of common sense back to Washington,) replacing them all with people who take the job of leading our country seriously. Please joke and rap and spend $500+ a plate on your own time, not my taxpayer dollars! I only hope that this event wasn't broadcast on the Armed Forces Network. Unfortunately, the rest of the world did see it.
Man that was real bad. He should say that it wasn't him, he might get away with that!
Ian, Torrance, CA I say that all the time, when i see them take vacation,s christmass holiday's are what ever. AS long as there are soldiers dying they should be in washington working on a solution! At least the President should be anyway! But that's me. Thank's for that Ian
I was personally dismayed that the republicans were able to recover from Stephen Colbert the year before. The Colbert roasting of the entire republican party was the perfect example of how out of touch with reality this administration is. I believe the maxim, the fox guarding the hen house, is applicable. This year they chose the "whose line" guys, and although it was humorous, it lacked the true nature of a good roasting. You know what they say, "Fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — uh, you can't get fooled again."
Was Rove better than Sanjaya is the real question, in that neither are entertainers and both are only kidding themselves!
IAN, Here is something to really freak about: This an article that exposes how our military is using something called Regulation 635-200, Chapter 5-13 to cheat our veterans out of the care and benefits that they have earned. http://www.thenation.com/doc/20070409/kors
"...Wussup dog? Twizzle Dubizzle, setcho Grillwork on the Fizzle...Tex a Sizzle yubi Stuffed'n next'ta Chronic Drizzle...McPizzle..." - Karl Rove's MySpace Message to Dubya. "Don't write me that stuff when Laura's not here to translate." -Dubya's MySpace Return Message.
Do you remember General Powell in a construction hat on tour near the South China Sea doing the hoochy koochy at the same time he knew he had just intentionally lied to his nation and the world and set in a motion a war he could no longer stop. Doing a little dance. Of course, Powell would discard his disco cap and recant his lies. Too late for the dead. Too late for our reputation on this planet. So let's do a little dance, make a little love, get down tonight, get down tonight! We are a corporate war machine run amuck while its keepers are transfixed on talent contests, child molesters and dancing, dancing with the stars, whether they wear silly hats and murder people for oil or not! We need to change this country's tune once and for all.
Sorry Keith. I think I threw up a little bit in my mouth.
I think the only thing that could have been more tasteless and stereotypical would have been a minstrel show. Truly appalling. Especially considering that at the very instant these whitebreads were capering around on stage, some GI was probably being killed or having his legs taken off by an IED. Utterly disgusting.
C A, seriously, will conservatives ever get over their obsession with Bill Clinton? He doesn't even have anything to do with the story at hand, but yet people like you will find a way to make something his fault exclusively.
If we are at war, then let's act like a country at war....drive less, conserve energy, use less oil, send money and supplies to our forces, work day and night with/on both sides of the aisle to make the best of the situation we are in, treat our wounded with every available asset and not promise Latin American countries free health care to curry short-lived favor until every last serviceman is cared for and as whole as any person subjected to war can ever be again. The president got us into this mess, so he better cowboy up and deal with the consequences of his actions, not the least of which is eat some crow and deal with the Democratic demands and the democratic will of the United States public. People say they are nostalgic for the days of Clinton. Hell yes! But I am also nostalgic for the days of George senior, and Carter, and even Reagan. I feel like we are living in a bad re-make of Animal House, where George Bush Jr is Dean Faber. Fortunately we ran Niedermeyer ...I mean Rumsfeld out on his white armorless, jammerless humvee. Little did those federal prosecutors know...they were on Double Top Secret Probation.
Sarah: Wooaaahhhh there girl. You misread my posting. I love Bill Clinton. I was sayiing he would beat Rove's rear in that barrel. If it were up to me Bill would be running again instead of Hillary. And he would win!
C A - Again, how your comments make me yearn for President Bill Clinton. Like I said in an earlier post, he rocked. Sadly, this country's leader went from road scholar to IDIOT!!
Pam: At one time there was mention that Clinton might be recruited for the top UN job (not the US representative but head of the UN), and at the time I was really hoping it were true and he would take it. Imagine Clinton as head of the UN. He could have corrected the poor relations that Bush has created throughout the world with the United States as well as call Bush down everytime he got crazy with his threats of war and nation building. He could have built a coalition on the international level that was good for the States and basically have left Bush out in the cold by his lonesome. Those seeking peaceful and harmonious relations across the world and with the US would have made a bee-line to Clinton's office at the UN instead of having to deal with the cowboy who threatens everyone and their uncle at every turn.
Yikes! ... kinda makes me want to set my computer on fire and put it out with an axe ... really gave me the collywobbles.
C A - I heard that rumor too. Apparently a source close to Bill Clinton revealed a year or so ago that his "dream job" is to be Secretary of the UN. I don't think it will happen though. Certainly not because he is not skilled or qualified enough (like George W. Bush - in way over his head); Bill Clinton is from the US, the "super power". I have heard a few experts analyze this, and in particular, Bill Clinton’s possible role. All agreed that the US most likely would never have one of it’s’ citizens leading the UN. I'm not sure if I agree, but the experts did make very compelling arguments regarding "sharing power" as it relates to a “super power”. I personally would love it, as I believe Bill Clinton would fix many things, and quickly.
I think seeing David Gregory prancing nimbly behind worm tongue Rove tells me all I need to know about the inside the beltway aristocracy. They pretend to tussle and oppose during the day and then they drink and dance and crawl into bed (literally for Carville and Matalin)at night. The best of these dinners was when somebody screwed up and hired Colbert to do the stand-up. Within four feet of the President he stood up and spewed truthiness at the entire sanctimonious crowd of power seeking, name dropping, media whores who reacted in horror that he wasn't playing nice. Nice time is over. We can see you.
