As I said before this guy Karl is the second worse American in the history of the USA. He is second only to J Edgar Hoover who practiced dirty politics with the Justice Department many years before Rove. This one man would have changed our entire country if his activities had not been arrested. As a retired veteran of the USAF, I used to think that it was Donald Rumsfeld. As these scandals have slowly and methodically come to light I am now of the opinion that it is him and he gets away with it only because he came to Washington with Bush. Just look at the people who professional reputations have been destroyed by this despicable individual. People like Colin Powell, Donald Rumsfeld, Condoleeza Rice, even Dick Cheney. All these people had served their country for years and performed with great distinction until they got caught up in this guys political foolishness. Image this scenario if you will. Donald Rumsfeld walks into the Presidents Office and presents him with a war plan for Iraq that requires exactly what Gen Shinseki recommended and then Sec of State comes in a says what he will need to do diplomatically to build a proper coalition to make the war plan viable. When they leave can anyone image Rove walking in a telling "W", you don't want do it that way because it will be much better politically if we go it alone (we'll show the world how powerful the republican party is) and we don't need partners because we don't want to share the credit with noisy allies politically and it will take too long. I see this scenario happening because it is just not possible for all these people who had previously been highly successful to fail all at one time. How long did John Ashcroft stay on as attorney General? I'll bet he saw the bullshit being perpetrated at the Justice Department and decided he wanted no parts of this. What do you think.

OK. Enough other people will discuss tonight's serious stories, for which I thank you. But when I saw tonight's #1 Newsmaker, I knew this story belonged here (I only wish I had the visuals to go with it). Today, Tower City in Cleveland was being decorated for the "Title IX Birthday Hoopla," a party connected to the NCAA Women's Final Four. This afternoon, some young women were working hard, surrounded by large plastic bags full of inflated silver Mylar balloons, each one shaped like a letter or numeral spelling out "TITLE IX," as they tried to tape some of these balloons to the front of a stage with short ribbons. Well, they got the first three of the Mylar balloon letters spelling out "TITLE IX" taped up there, and then spent a lot of time moving and adjusting the ribbons as the balloons bounced up and down. They seemed to be trying to decide whether the balloons looked right before continuing with taping the rest of them to the stage. The problem? Here were these young women, decorating for a party intended to celebrate a historic piece of legislation for women's equality in sports, and they had absolutely no idea what they looked like to those of us watching them...standing there adjusting three silver, bouncing balloons attached to the front of a stage...three balloons spelling out in large letters: "T-I-T." It was enough to make you toss your script in the air.

The only thing that matters is the next thing they put in their mouths so we murder for oil like corporate pirates in B-52's carving out some retail for Wall Steet. If the CIA and World Bank can't kill them, then send in the Marines, which is exactly what the Oil Boys have done in our name. If you dare to disbelieve you're met with the spitting Eagle Group of burr-cut Neanderthals and other orbs of light from Republican Academia. They think they protect us because they're idiots who let the army go home with their guns which we sold them and they now use to kill our troops. IDIOT REDNECKS! Rudy for president - this is the answer to our prayers. As a resident of New York, I have a little more information about Mr. G. than most of the Americans who are lined up to support the Hero of 9/11. Just before the terror attacks, there was an incident where an unarmed black man was shot in the Bronx by a posse of policemen. Shot more than 40 times. Rather than apologize to the man's family, Giuliani started a feverish campaign to find anything in this man's background that could be trumpeted as proof that he was a bad guy, and deserved it even though he nothing to do with the crime that was being investigated. Absolutely disgraceful. Worse than that, for people who aren't enchanted with Bush's fanciful interpretations of the constitution was this gem from history. September 11, 2001 was an election day for NYC Mayor. The election had to be postponed. Giuliani was so impressed with his own clippings as 9/11 Hero that he announced his intention to remain as mayor after the normal date of the swearing-in ceremony for the new mayor. He strong-armed every mayoral candidate from both parties to agree to this nonsense. I guess people can forgive the fact that he's had as many wives as Tom Cruise, but I'm troubled by his references to any judge who makes a decision that he disagrees with: "Out-of-Control Judges." Sure - out of his control. It's called "Checks and Balances." You can still find it in the Constitution.

Terry-New York: Many of us already have Giuliani's number and as time goes on many, many more will come to their senses as well. As stated in an earlier blog, who entitled Giuliani to the title of Hero of 911. Not me, and not many others. The heros were those firemen, policemen, emergency workers, construction crews and private citizens who worked day and night to try and locate suvivors as well as to recover those who had perished. I don't recall seeing Giuliani on his hands and knees digging through the rubble. And if this country gets trumped by this guy as they did by Bush in the last two elections my confidence in the American voter will go from very low to nill.
