So here it is. Covering the big news, the small news, medium-sized and irregular, The News Hole strives to bring everything you love or hate about Countdown to the internets.

Your feedback and hate mail is encouraged.

Well folks, the first annual "Keithies" was such a rousing success, we're truly sorry to see it end. (view the voting results here)

The good news is that with five rollicking segments "in the can" we can now put them all together into one show so the Countdown staff can have the day off on some minor holiday in the future. Whoo hoo!

But you don't have to wait until Arbor Day to enjoy the action, we've got all five Keithie segments right here in The NewsHole for one low, low price of absolutely nothin'.

Please enjoy the 1st Annual...

"Best of the Stuff We Found on the Internets Awards"

Our opening night of nominations is the category of "Things You Missed on the TV's That the Internets Made Famous." How could we possibly choose just five from this great field?

As with category #1, the videos that didn't make the cut were every bit as good as the final five, it's "Everyday Idiots of the World Wide Web."

The extremely popular "Internets Superstar" (non-porn) category.

"The Greatest Animal in All the Internets"

The Grand Finale to our weeklong extravaganza, we tear open the envelopes to find out the winners in... "A Night at the Keithies" with your host... Keithie.

What, no Liftime Achievement Award for O'Reilly? A 'Golden Fungus' would've been fitting for his many 'Worst Person in the World' appearances. Or maybe a 'Lead Ballon' signifying the entrapment of his billowing radioactive flatus production. He's worked so hard to refine his hubris, he deserves something 'Special'. Maybe a gift certificate to "Enemas'n'Stuff"?
Hi Keith: Please get rid of this junk stuff and get back to your previous format; before this junk I couldn't wait to hear your comments on important news! Now I don't watch your your whole program, just flip by waiting for the 'good stuff' Best regards Lee
The laughing baby should've won. Stupid old fat broad falling and whailing from a blow from piece of paper isn't funny; Its merely pathetic. Stupid old broad.
While I agree with Lee Mason, my outrage has been reaching new heights lately and I suppose that I was ready for a break. But it’s back to the news now, right?
On another note: when is MSNBC going to add other moderate programming to its schedule? While I find myself stewing in anger at the inept and corrupt officials that have risen to power in this nation, I find myself growing hopeful as programs such as Countdown expose the hypocrisy that is being fed to us. Sometimes I feel that maybe there is a light at the end of this tunnel after all. But jeez guys, I also find myself jumping to grab the remote as the shouting of neocon spin begins anew at the conclusion of each evening’s Countdown. When are you going to add additional responsible programming to your schedule? What's the deal here MSNBC?
JW: Couldn't agree more with you. I have suggested replacing Joe Scarborough with someone else to follow Keith since Joe spends most of his time now days on Hollyweird stuff. I could are less, as well as others I believe, about the endless reporting of Anna Nichole Smith, Paris Hilton, Brittney Spears and the like. I like Joe. He seems to be a decent guy and a republican who has seen the light about this administration, but either he or his producers are blowing it. They are far from the killer punch MSNBC needs following Keith against this corrupt administratrion. MSNBC needs someone like Bill Mahr to come on after Keith to end the evening with that famous satirical political knock-out punch, especially with the elections heating up in the coming months. On the other hand Fox has Greta following Hannity and Colmes and they can keep her there. She offers nothing but the same ambulance chasing reporting you see from Nancy Grace. Greta is nicer than Grace though, but neither offer much.
Keith, don't know if you realized it, but the idiot running around on the Cleveland news during the Valentine's Day blizzard was identified. He's a guy from a local morning radio show, and is known simply as "Dumb" (apt, huh?). This month's issue of Cleveland Magazine notes his moment of fame and that it "was mentioned on MSNBC's 'Countdown with Keith Oberman.'" Yes, OBERMAN. On behalf of the entire city, as another person with a constantly misspelled name, I apologize.
Dear Mr. Olbermann,

You are our hero!!!  I have noticed in the last 4 to 6 weeks that the Iraq War is getting less and less attention as if it is no longer an important part of our day-to-day lives.  Is there anyway that you can inform us of who is reporting on the Iraq War on a consistent basis (preferably daily); if not can you provide us with the storyline that has become more important to our country than the Iraq War and seeing as how it is virtually non-existent on the nightly news these days, do I need to give up hope of hearing anything else about the war or has the war lost it's punch and holds no more importance than a UFO sighting?????

I would greatly appreciate any comment or opinion on this topic and specifically your views or opinions Mr. Olbermann.
Mr. Oberman, I not only enjoy your show trmendously, I have utmost respect for you as a professional journalist.  However, because of that, I must question the coverage that President Clinton and Sen Clinton's campaign has received recently.  Accusing Clintons of racial politics is a lot like accusing Bill Bellecheck of being too open with the media.  It makes no sense.
I admire your honesty.  Because of that, I was disappointed that you never played the WHOLE TRANSCRIPT of Pres Clinton's conversation with reporters in which he invoked Jesse Jackson winning South Carolina primaries.  That conversation puts everything in perspective and gets rid of any racial overtones that media has only been too happy to pounce on.  Erroneously.
Is it fair to accuse Sen Obama of playing hate politics by turning his back on Sen Clinton at The State of The Union Address yesterday?  He has an excuse for his bahavior.  But if we're not going to listen to reasonable explanations of comments by Pres Clinton, why should we listen to reasonable explanations of Sen Obama?
And if we only listen to one side, are we not then engaging in racial politics?  The kind of thing we wrongfully accuse Clintons of?
98% of African American women voted for Sen Obama in South Carolina.  That's a racial divide.  When media covers that with the same zealousness they covered potential racism of New Hampshire voters, this country will be much nearer the dream of Dr Martin Luther King.
I was highly offended by Racheal Maddows raciest comments on your show Friday, Feb 8 regarding George Bush having a Black Baby. The conversatiog was about John McCain. Her comments were highly offensive
Hey Keith, can someone PLEASE find out which war John McCain actually "won?"  He keeps saying he knows how to win a war, but which one(s) did HE win?  Just curious.  I would like to give the man the respect he deserves, you know?
