This is pure racism no matter how anyone tries to paint it otherwise. If Rush thinks it is funny, and repeats this stuff on his show or plays this stuff on his show it only show how much of a racist pig he is. Don't think it will stop him though since those who listen to him tend to be just as racist, not to mention as sexist, as homophobic, and as intellectually impaired. I'd say that starting a campaign to pressure his advertisers would be a good idea, still don't know if it will work. BTW, anyone know where one could get a list of said advertisers?

Why? I don't understand, why is Limbaugh ALWAYS given a free pass? He calls Donovan McNabb a product of media hype and says that he's only considered good because he's black, and that at least gets him fired from ESPN, but nothing more. He refers to Obama as "Halfrican", and it's newsworthy, but there's no concerted effort to have him punished. Now this? Where does it end? Where's the outrage from America's African-American leadership? It's as if he gets a free pass to say all sorts of deplorable and inappropriate things about whomever he wants, and if anyone raises a question about it, people just seem to shrug it off and say, "Well, he's a conservative radio host, what do you expect from the guy?" It's very sad to see that the left's leaders are so terrified of being stuck with the dreaded "liberal" label that they shy away from people like this scumbag. I guess if your name is Coulter, Limbaugh, or if you work at Fox News, you're entitled to a certain amount of douchebaggery.

If I might venture a guess, Rush figures that Imus got nailed for picking on innocent young women while he (Rush) is slamming a public figure and therefore fair game. What he very evidently doesn't understand -- certainly based on his past performance -- is that it is still possible to overstep the bounds of decency even when discussing a public figure. Of course, he still has to first try to find his way back *inside* the bounds . . .

BTW, how is it that Rush can claim "many black callers"? Do they all identify themselves by race? Are callers screened for racial diversity? Or does he only take video-phone calls? Perhaps he uses "separate but equal" phone-lines? 'Tis a puzzlement.

Oh the never ending saga that is the media. I've listened to Rush many times. It's fair to say he is out there. But I must say that aside from the song and dance Jesse and Al aren't any better. You see it seems as if they hold that same be a racist card except theirs say because we're black. No one said anything at the way Al and Jesse berated the Duke lacrosse players and come to find out like the players were saying, it was all a lie. No apologies have been demanded and no one has called for their heads. Why is it people still give them a voice by calling them every time something happens that happens to involve someone black? They have their own issues and are racist bigots as well. I am black and I hate that they call them our black leaders because they aren't. They bring more shame than good. They feed on the down trodden. They run to the inner cities and projects to greet a news camera or use some poor kid as a back drop. Where is the money they're spending to make the lives of these people better? Most times they just show their faces and then they're off to make their own money. Bring the news camera to Jesses' or Als' house. Let's see how they live. Let's see how many hired hands they have running the house for them. How much do they charge to speak and cover the issues? Why is it the black girl that was thought to be a victim of race infused rape and kidnapping, that ended up being a victim of alcohol in the lacrosse case get money for school? What about the lives of the accused? What about the hate that came from that? What about the already tense race relations in the south? It was done because the black people that had no clue who Imus was would run get on the band wagon if good ole Al said so. They use these to clowns to rile up the poor black communities. Again, these are people that may have never heard of him before. Many had no idea who Imus was but they were steaming mad. Why is it that now weeks later his producer was let go? Why is it no one made no waves about him? Why do we care we berate each other lower than anyone can imagine. Listen to our music. Listen to us speaking to one another. Look at the way we carry ourselves, look at how we hate us (not each and every black person but they are fast becoming the majority).The media is to blame with this case, Imus and the Duke case. That fool that ran with the story to get an advance or a raise. No one including Al/Jesse would have known. But it was a game of money so it was blasted across every news station. Rush as horrible as he can be has his own show. That doesn't give him the right to say whatever but listen to the radio sometimes, listen to what our black people are calling Obama. You should have heard what they called Jesse and Al when they ran. Al and Jesse don't want Obama to come close to winning because they didn't have a chance. Rush and Ann are always going to say whatever but look at the media. Has any one listened to Americas Black Forum? It straddles the line of racism from time to time also. People say what they want but if they have a radio/TV show they have to censor themselves while the rest of the media spectrum has to be hushed. They are media outlets but another outlet ran with the story to one up them. When we chase after it we fall into the trap. So for the rest of the week we are going to be flooded with news of this when there is real news going on. What gives? We are ready to string up the likes of Rush, Ann and Bill but the pres, Al, and Jesse can say whatever they want to. I don't understand. Karl Rove and Gonzales are lying in office as well as Bush and Cheney, where is the loud cries? Not on a blog or post, but the many news shows that will have a word about this mess. Ask Al about that the next time a camera is stuck in is face. Question lying and being a bigot on a radio show and then ask about Bush lying to and murdering the American people. I wish it could be equal across the board. Listen to the black radio shows from time to time. See what hatred they spew. Then listen to see if anyone calls for their head. See if anyone cares. They say what they want because they're black and they can say whatever it is they want to. Will we shut up about the little things right now and move on to the real stories? Rushes show isn't a news program, it's his opinion. It isn't all factual. You can make something mean what you want after you've spun it a few times. But we Americans continue to fall into the fog trap. The media fog trap. This mess is going to take all eyes off our congress that are afraid to do what they said they would when they ran. This is going to take pressure off of Bush and the slaughter in Iraq. It's only going to be on the bottom of the TV on the ticker when another life is taken in Iraq. It's going to give Rove more time to loose emails and his mind. I wish we would wake up and see the fog. We are being alluded by the wrongs of our government. For all we know Rush did this for publicity and to take the attention off of his buddies. Let's continue to be news watchers and get away from the tabloids labeled news.

Hey, I listen to his show occassionally just to get a laugh, but most of the time his hateful comments make me sick to my stomach and I have to turn him off. Mark, I do listen to Rush Limbaugh and I've heard him make racist remarks on many occasions. I've heard his black caller too, he calls often under different names and Rush never seems to recognize his voice. He also has a female who calls and praises him for being such a wonderful person. He never seems to recognize her voice either, but I do. If these people were real it would be scary.

As Rush is the voice of the neo-cons, this is a glaring example of their true agenda. They always have to have someone to hate and make fun of. The immigration issue is their way to attack anyone that doesn't "look" like them. They always find a race to make look bad and find listeners that feel the same way. What a racist talk show. I've never been able to drink the kool-aid. And where is that compassionate conservatism? And "liberal" is bad, why? Because the definition is "freedom" and free to make choices, not to be told what to think.

I have listened to Rush on the radio. I don't know if he is racist, can't read his heart. But I do know he is a loud mouth that rarley let's any of his guests (especially those who may not agree with him) finish their sentences before he rudely interupts them. Rush and Hannity are alike in this interrupt and run over your guests strategy. They are rude and never let people finish. Their radio shows are not aired for discussion but for the purpose of having their opinions heard, making a name for themselves, making money, and maintaining a certain level of division amoung people so they can justify thermselves on the radio and TV. Ann Coulter does the same thing. I see that smirk and smile when she says something outlandish. She knows exactly what she is doing (causing a big stir). It gives her name recognition, sells her books, and makes her quite wealthy. Rush and Hannity are doing the same. Who are the kidding. The only issue I have with any of them is what makes their opinions any more important or correct than your average Americans? They know the anser to that, nothing. So they have to create controversy and stir up peoples anger in order to be able to air on radio, appear on TV and sell books. Anyone in here can do the same. Just start talking trash, writing books that anger people, and you have it made. So I don't know if Rush is a racist, but there is no doubt he as well as Hannity and Coulter are parasites that feed off your average Amercian citizen by creating and maintaining controversy, division and yes, anger filled that turns to hatred.

I actually listen to Limbaugh, I listened/watch O'Reilly until he made the comments about the kidnapped child, and I watch Countdown. Saying that Limbaugh looks at people only by their ideals is one of the craziest things I have ever heard. Halfrican? Is Halfricanism a political ideal? Only look at ideals and he plays the above song? Racism transcends political boundaries, it is on all sides of the political spectrum. Applauding Rice, Powell and Thomas does not make Limbaugh color blind or not racist. Let's ask those three how they feel about the song or about what it means to be a Halfrican. The difference between right and left is that the left sees there is a problem, we all know that all humans are the same when it comes down to it, but racism is still endemic in this country and we are willing to recognize the existence of said problem. The right would prefer just to say we are all human and deny that racism actually exists because they tend to be the racists. They often deny this by pleading ignorance, as when they make a racist comment and in their defense state they did not realize such a comment was racist. If we disagree with Limbaugh's view and actions, then we should boycott those who advertise on his program, or even go as far as contacting his advertisers and telling them until the pull their sponsorship of his program, we refuse to support their products. Take action if you're mad at him, but do more than mere name calling on a blog, or he will never feel the consequences of his actions, and will continue to promote his ideals freely, which is his his right. Everyone wants to tarnish his name with harsh words, but as the old axiom tells us, actions speak louder than words.

B.I.: Rush may have the right to express his ideas like the rest of us, but the rest of us are not being paid to reach thousands everyday placing trash into their heads. I wouldn't be so worried and could say if you don't like Rush don't listen to him. But I have to speak up for those Americans who are dim-witted sheep and who listen to anything anyone tells them and think its right or true. They need some proper representation due to very low IQ scores. You know of whom I am speaking. The dim-witted Americans who Rush still has believing that Saddman bombed the Twin Towers. The same dim-witted Americans who send their weekly paychecks to the Sunday morning televangelists on TV. Plus you stated Rush has the right to promote his ideals freely. He may have the right to promote his "ideas" freely, but Rush has no "ideals". Peeps: let's see, 20 million people minus 10 million that listen to laugh at Rush's lunacy or to work up their anger at his ludicrious comments. That leaves 10 million dim-witted Americans who still think that Saddam bombed the Twin Towers and who rob their bank accounts to finance the likes of Pat Robertson, and who most likely still support Bush because he has a barbeque pit and some picnic tables at Crawford.
