Rudy Giuliani Doesn't Care About Ferrets

Posted: Thursday, May 03, 2007 2:10 PM by Countdown

TheNewsHole takes no position on the Rudy Giuliani vesus the 'Ferret Guy' controvery, other than to say it is a completely strange piece of AUDIO and you really are missing out if you don't hear it. The clip seems to be provided by the rabid pro-ferret community (better them than the pro-rabid-ferret community, or the pro-rabbit community) and it is interrupted by commentary from a guy who actually sounds like a ferret, but even that can't ruin this classic.

Oh please, let this come up in the debate tonight!

I never thought I would agree with rudy but I have friends with ferrets and they are crazy. Not so crazy they would scoop up the bodies at ground zero and use them for road fill but crazy none the less.
Ferrets are cute members of the weasel family and Rudy hates them for the same reason all politicians hate them: Competition.
Sure, Ira Glass of This American Life has an.. odd voice but not overly ferret-like.
Come clean, Mr. Olbermann, what you really wanted us all to see was the picture of Guiliani in drag. He looks so good in pink. It was a wonderful coincidence because we had just been talking about Guiliani and some of my colleagues didn't believe he had ever done that. They believe it now. Tommy Thompson, here they come.
Wait! Did I just use the words "wonderful" and "Tommy Thompson" in the same message? I am sure it was the insidious influence of ferret musk. Forgive me, fellow bloggers.
"This obsessive concern with little weasels is a sickness"...Wow. That's quite a claim, Mr. Giuliani. Now I'm interested to see if there is a branch (or twig) of psychology investigating this particular 'sickness' since he (Giuliani) made it sound like it's on the level of full-blown neuroses. Hrm, but what would I Google, exactly? Ferretzophrenia? Weaselmania?
I think Rudy must have had a bad experience with the Furry community at one point in his life, and talks with these people may have dredged THAT lake.
Not everyone has a mansion with a yard big enough for a dog, Rudy.
Mr. Giuliani, I know ferrets. Some of my best friends are ferrets...and you're no ferret!
I had a friend with a ferret in college. It crawled into bed with me in the middle of the night and scared at least a decade off my life.
Unbelievably funny...what in the world got Rudy so wrenched out over a guy wanting to keep ferrets? You'd think he was Richard Gere asking for a gerbil license. And Ira Glass's comment about how Rudy sees a ferret-free New York as "the difference between civilization and chaos"--that's comedy gold!
To put this in perspective, what if this caller was making a point about a city park or playground. And then chewed out on the air by a public servant for having an excessive concern for playgrounds.
First of all unless you have ever ben owned by a ferret you have no idea how loving and amusing they are, by far more loving than any cat I have ever owned or met. Instead of focusing on a few illegal pets they should be focusing on all the illegal immigrants here in the us. now theirs something to talk about. oooh ferrets, grow up
Hello fellow american Ferrets For Freedom have been Banned from Youtube!!! First they banned the Ferrets, now they banned the movie!!! Where is our freedom of speech!
