Press Conference Bird Bombed: Mister Bush, crapped upon both literally and figuratively in the Rose Garden this morning. First by an hour of hard questions, second by the bird that pooped on his suit. But the message of the day: If the people of this country, through their votes, tell President Bush to get us out of Iraq, they are ignored. If the Democratic representatives of this country, through their legislation, tell President Bush to get us out of Iraq, they are ignored. But, if his remarks at a news conference today are to be believed -- always a dicey proposition with him -- if members of the Iraqi Government tell President Bush to get us out of Iraq -- we're out.

Credibility
: One minute we're safer -- the next they're coming to get us. The president says Congress is stretching out the Gonzales investigation -- yet it's his White House that's stonewalling. He was asked today if he has any credibility left -- and it wasn't much of an answer. John Dean joins us.

ODDBALL
: The wild scrable up a 50 tower of Hong Kong buns and the little toddler who ruined the artwork of Tibetan Monks in a Kansas City train station.

Gonzo & Monica
: First he told Congress that the meeting with Monica Goodling never took place. Now he's said it did but it wasn't how she described it. That'd be... lying to Congress... right? Fortunately they have Alberto Gonzales's successor ready.

Mom is 60: Science and Life. A 60-year-old woman giving birth to twins. The new mother defends her position... a move even her own daughter doesn't support.

WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD
: The police officer who demonstrated his Taser on a willing participant's...special place -- the package store with a drive-thru window that also sells cups of ice for the ride home -- and the Pentaton needs Arabic language experts in the worst way... but not if they're gay. Can't have that.

Bury the Idol
: It's over, it's finally over. After a two-hour spectacular, full of song, self-congratulation and kitsch, the latest winner was finally anointed. Princess Maria is here too tell us how many albums what's-her-name is going to sell.

Barb G, the Dems have had a major problem framing any argument in the last twenty years or so. They have failed to counter a lot of the Republican propaganda that's been pushed. What they need to do is get people out there who can push our information and adequately counter them.
Occam Razor's basically is when presented with multiple, equivalent, and competing solutions to a problem, the simpliest is usually the most effective..."one should not increase, beyond what is necessary, the number of entities required to explain anything"...hope that helps Independent...
The bird said it all! Mission Accomplished. You can bet your next paycheck there won't be any more media events without a nice, large canopy over the podium.
“It’s better to fight them there than to fight them here.” - How come no one ever asks Bush: Why do we have the right to use Iraq as a "terrorist" flytrap, destroying that country and killing innocent people in the crossfire? We always look at things only from our point-of-view.
Love Keith. Love his show. Watch every night. But...he was off base concerning his sarcastic comments about the 60 year olds with new twins. Whose business is it. That's what makes America great (most of the time. These people obviously have the resources and I suspect the adult child may have another agenda. (Ah..that sibling rivalry) And let me assure you Keith, today's 60 year olds are far, far, far from nursing homes.Just say Congratulations and move on.Too many important things to worry about.
Tom, I don't. But that might be the Historian in me. What happened in Iraq was inevitable. Even the CIA knew that, we are just finding out. The moment Saddam Hussein died, we were going to see the collapse of this artifical country. It's time to allow the Iraqis to decide their future for themselves. Jon Stewart asked a guest recently about this. He pointed out how we have always allowed the Europeans to choose their own courses, but never the people in the Middle East. Why is that, one might ask.
Keith, your commentary has kept the hearts and minds of a wjole lot of normal Americans from breaking utterly. As a 6tyyyyyyyyyy55-year-old who canno become pr7eggers t(and need not want to!), I am far from the nursing home myslelf. Some ways of living sustaiun life and health better than others. The owl that flew into Herod's dining hall and dropped a Big One on His majesty's balding pate rises to mind. Owl or dove, nice shot anyway! Now if we can have a few dozen more exploding frogs dropping from the sky directly onto the center of that hastily-erected canopy, and somewhat to the north, south, east and west of it too, we'll be all set for portente, hm?
Virginia. Maybe it was a message from the Owl God that Dubya worships? Who knows?
Hi Keith, I missed you on your show Monday and Tuesday, June 11 and June 12.  I don't like your replacements because they are not as funny.  Please, Please, be on tonight,June 13.  I don't accept any telephone calls when your show is on.
