Candidates Get Totally YouTubular

We must have missed Part I of this contest, but we have to say Hillary Clinton and her peeps seem to get the whole YouTube thing a little better than the rest...

It's especially good once you take a look at the competition. Here we have some of the other contenders, and some helpful hints for the field:

  • Senator Dodd, have you been arrested? Are you being held hostage somewhere, forced to do this video against your will? Hint: Get a plant or something.

  • Congressman Tancredo, kudos for trying to mix it up a bit. But could you stop the car please? We'll hitch a ride with someone less obsessed with illegal immigrants.

  • John Edwards, getting a big star was a good call. Might have picked one without a Hugo Chavez issue at the moment, but hey...

  • Senator Joe Biden wins for sheer volume: 83 videos and counting! This one's 13 minutes long. Not bad, but think about editing it down a tad for the average YouTuber's shorter attention-span. And maybe show a kid getting hurt on a skateboard or something.

  • Oh, we take that back -- Mitt Romney's got 144. Of course, the whole point of YouTube video is to actually have video, but when you're this good looking, we guess it's ok to go with still photos over lousy audio about radical Islam.

  • Mister Giuliani, the whole "they hate us for our freedom" thing is actually pretty much univerally mocked on the internets. Highlighting it as a campaign position will get you that one-star rating everytime.

  • Ron Paul, we sorta hoped the big "internet candidate" would have more than one lone YouTube video to share with supporters. The music is fantastic, but we have to say your effort reminds us a bit of the commercials for that guy who teaches you how to use your computer.
Update: Ok, we missed Ron Paul's current crop of video, including a nice one called "Educating Rudy".

  • Mister Kucinich? Mister Kucinich? Can I go to the bathroom? (Please don't let our good natured ribbing prevent you from actually hearing today's lesson. There should be a test on this stuff.)

  • Finally, Mike Gravel teaches us about the "fair tax". Nothing terribly wrong with his video, except that we keep expecting him to offer us a hard candy from the dish next to the sofa.

Is that all of them?

Close enough.

Mr. Olberman I thank you. I have been in deep torment lately. You have tirelessly opened the eyes of many as well as myself. From the lies that got us into Iraq to the greed that is keeping us here, you have been a voice of truth. I thank you for your commitment to the American people. The anthrax vaccination is once again mandatory (a government owned vaccination) even though there has not been one report that anthrax has been found anywhere in Iraq or has been found in Iraq for years before the oil fueled invasion. The small pox vaccination has never been moved from mandatory status although the small pox virus was eradicated about a decade ago. It makes you wonder who has these virus and what else our government may be hiding. No small pox has been used against anyone in Iraq as a weapon either. I have been thinking very hard and studying the backbone of this occupation and I am seeing the light. The light that was supposed to be hidden from the public at least until the oil was won. This occupation was a ploy by the U.S. government from the beginning. I am not a conspiracy theorist but I see a pattern that is becoming more and more difficult to ignore. The talk of taking the oil from Iraq had begun well before Bush and Cheney were elected. After being elected the towers were struck. Some say it was rigged and the building imploded. That is still being discussed at this very moment. After the attacks the need to remove Saddam became the primary focus of the White House. Looking back, and looking at all the events since, I for one would look into information that suggested the attacks of September 11, 2001 were staged to get the country motivated to attack Iraq. It was the fear push that got many on the band wagon. After fictitious evidence was produced against Saddam more became believers. Then the White House was given the right to send troops in to take down Saddam by congress. Although the attacks took place on American soil by men that we now know have been in the States for years (at least we’ve been told) this administration sends the military to Iraq to fight there. If the threat is at home why send your fighting force away and leave the “enemy” in the states to continue their terror? They boast that there hasn’t been an attack since September 11, 2001 because we’re in Iraq, How is that possible? Did the terrorist fly back to Iraq with us? If bin Laden was really behind these attacks and we’ve left America open to all attackers why hasn’t he attacked again? Why is it so safe in the U.S.? Where are all that wanted to harm us? If they had networks in our country what happened to them? I am not saying I want the States to be attacked I pray it doesn’t, but these are real questions that haven’t been looked at neither answered properly by this administration. When the occupation began the government was sure it wouldn’t result in many deaths or at least that‘s what was spoon fed to the American public. As we see 4000 deaths in the near future the sentiment now is that the surge will result in more deaths and the president himself is okay with it because his prize has not been won. I know others see that the administration does not care how many die or are hurt to obtain their goals. It seems that they will put anyone at anytime in harms way to achieve a goal of theirs. The need for the Iraqi parliament, which has questionable members, to sign a bill giving the majority of the control of the Iraqi oil fields to International companies (U.S. and British based) is in fact a “benchmark” by the administration. I am willing to believe that after this bill is signed into place, if it ever is (hopefully not), the administration will realize suddenly that the focus of the occupation should change again. That we must again change course. That the military must change it’s focus to setting up post and outpost near many oil fields. The military has taken to the streets as terrorist in Iraq. Our presence is not that of security but to place fear in those who are holding up the process of signing the Hydrocarbon Law and those who are mounting resistance toward it. We are being used to bully the Iraqi people. Our missions don’t state it neither does our intel speak of it. After arresting some of the people we arrest and seeing some of the people we refer to as targets I now understand. Regardless what the administration would have the U.S. to believe the majority of Iraqis are taking to the streets to resist the occupation. They have many different reasons to become what is being labeled as a “terrorist.” They see their country being destroyed, their families being killed or maimed and the oil of their nation being stolen from them, and this administration will have us believe that they are the enemy. Many fathers watch as their children starve and they have no money to buy bread. These are the men that are forced to act. What would we do in America? The institutions that are in Iraq to “help” the soldiers are stealing from the American people. They are over charging and looting our tax money. KBR, which is now it’s own company after Halliburton cut ties with it to focus solely on the oil that this massacre is supposed to provide, is the biggest thief ever. They over charge the U.S. for everything. KBR has done so much wrong and yet the government won’t move to have them suspended. They have grounds to but who will do it? Who in our government will speak up? To many of our elected representatives have their own agenda and the people who they said they’d represent are left voiceless. The worst crook of them all is AAFES. The Army and Air Force Exchange. They hike up their prices all the time but this is the only place for us to get needed toiletries. Many have turned to online shopping. The powers that be here allow some Iraqis to come on post and sell counterfeit merchandise to us. They know what they are selling because they check through everything they bring on post. They are allowed to sell pirated movies, games and software as well as knock off brand name clothing. This is a federal crime in the U. S. Why is it it’s allowed here? Does the laws of the U.S. not reach us here in Iraq? Can we do what we want here? Martial law included? Yes. Yes we can and do. These pirated movies are bought and sold everyday on U.S. post. They are even uploaded to secret government computers for all with passwords can enjoy without paying for them. The movies that come out in the states are here two or three days before their theatre release date in the local “Hajji Mart” for sale. New releases are usually $5.00. These Iraqis that are only trying to make a living selling their (illegal in the U.S.) wares but AAFES charges them 13-15% on all merchandise sold. They are profiting from the sale of illegal items. This is also a federal crime. Again I ask does the long arm of the law not reach the U.S. in Iraq? If someone tries to send more than five of one title home to the states he is stopped. We can not send that many because owning pirated material in the U.S. is against the law. We can send one or two home of each copy but we can be arrested for having it even though we purchased it at a U.S. facility in Iraq. It is sick here. It is all about money. KBR is attempting to tell the leaders here that they are out of money and are denying us things. Even though the government its self stated that money is there. Why is it these companies that are here ripping us off don’t chip in if it’s so bad? They want us to contact or congressmen and beg for the money that will keep us here killing. These companies stand to make billions if we stay in Iraq so they are lobbying for our continued presence here. It is a bleak situation once all weighed. We are allowed to go in the streets and pick people up because they looked guilty. We are allowed to go into homes and take all that we feel is “evidence.” We are given names and descriptions but we can arrest anyone at will. We only have to say they “looked suspicious” or “when they saw us coming they ran.” We pick people up for little or nothing most times. I speak again on the made up list of people that are targets for capture. These list are comprised mostly of people that only want us to leave. We have come into this country and are terrorizing it. What would you and I have done in the same situation? Would we take to the streets and mount “resistance” to an occupying force? Surely we would. We would want to believe that we’d be victorious also. Sadly enough with our military stretched so then the American people may get that chance. What are we to do???
Congress - Three days in a row of the Monkey saber rattling at Iran. Impeachment. Bush-Cheney-Gonzales. NOW. Before these evil men makes us all radioactive through their greed and stupidity. Will it happen? No. Because we have also had three days in a row of Congress bending over for the fascists while We The People can't even get a reach around. If Bush starts a nuclear war, allows or creates a domestic attack, tries to declare martial law, or monkeys with the next election cycle I would hope that We The People would descend upon D.C. and burn it to the ground. You morons in D.C. are playing the wrong game now and you don't even know it. - And Jim Cramer is full crap. You don't think there is class warfare already? Come visit New Orleans.
Countdown. Since the previous two posts (both of which are wonderful) have nothing to do with the YouTube title of this blog piece, I'm gonna post a non-related item as well. (BTW - I don't care at all about the YouTube stuff. In bush language: "it is irrelevant". Oh - that reminds me. I'm beginning to hear "Resistance is futile. Prepare to be assimilated" everytime I hear a bushie speak. Ok - now on to my post: Re the Iraq bill: I suspect I am not alone in feeling "betrayed" as Olbermann's special comment so eloquently stated and,at the same time, understanding the process restrictions as so eloquently stated in today's article by Alter. However, I don't understand something that perhaps some of you might. Please no flames. This is a serious request for information and insight. At any other time, I would have been more understanding of the process of working such an enormous issue through our legislature. I completely get how many votes are needed. However, I think, perhaps, what we really wanted was for all of our representatives regardless of party to get us out of the situation in Iraq. I believe that was the message from the public in the last election. The fury that I feel is targeted toward the democrats not so much for the "compromise" as for not working the opponents diligently enough before the vote on the first bill so that we could have had a veto-proof bill. The American public has made it clear that we don't want the military action in Iraq to continue as planned (to use the term lightly.) How then, could requiring that this action be halted be a problem back home for the representatives? For both parties? The theory being that the reason the strong language for benchmarks was withdrawn was that "back home" voters would castigate elected officials for "not supporting the troops". If the polls are correct and this country wants us out of Iraq, how could any elected official think that supporting a strong bill would be a problem? I aqree that the "support for the troops" nonsense has been visciously used but, again, the country wants us out. Help me understand this. The reason that I say "in any other time" above is that for the first time in my 55 years, I am actually afraid for the future of the country. I am (or at least never have been) paranoid but this administration's blatant disregard for the constitution and Congress's seemingly impotent ability to handle the constitutional violations is scaring me to death. Case in point: the National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive Bush signed on May 9, 2007 (National Security Presidential Directive/NSPD 51 and Homeland Security Presidential Directive/HSPD-20) grants Bush all the powers of a dictator if there is a “catastrophic event,” as noted by Global Research (which provides the text). Why would Mr. Bush feel this is a need? Why isn't the press reporting on this directive? Does anyone who is not a devoted internet politics researcher such as I am even know about this? (I did see this in some of the posts to the News Hole blog yesterday.) Put in perspective with Mr. Cheney's saber-rattling with Iran and, I think, you'd agree that something has to be done to rope in these guys. If our officials don't support what is easily the most popular position in America, "get out of Iraq", how can we assume that they will resist (and what is the mechanism they could use for resistance anyway?) should Mr. Bush declare a "catastrophic" event? Any valid insight on the politics and process behind all this is most welcome. I am not interested in responses containing slurs or slams. Thank you.
OP-ED...hello Media & Congress! It's called Oversight! Democrats BOW to the cry "Baby Bush" hello Congress! It's called Oversight and Fact Checking! Billions of US tax dollars have been lost, stolen and or simply wasted in Iraq. Earlier this month, Billions more were just allocated in the 'defense spending bill' for Iraq. On Thursday evening, this new supplemental adds a fresh new ninety five (95) billion to the ever growing pot of stolen, wasted and or lost billions. Democrats 'Bow' in reverence to the Bush Doctrine of Lies. This Democratic - controlled Congress gleefully approved fresh billions for the 'Bush caused' Civil War in Iraq. Senator Clinton and Obama played it very smart! They voted at the very end when their votes didn't matter. Democrats in both houses have once again 'conceded' to the whining lil baby that inhabits the people's White House. Democrats are now vowing 'false' pledges to challenge the 'baby Bush' at a later time and date. Democrats could easily challenge this Bush - Cheney Regime of Deceit with OVERSIGHT to all the lies, waste, fraud and lost billions that have gone into this flawed War of Lies. Americans are still waiting for the statements of: "Iraqi Oil to pay for this War of Lies!" Americans have been Duped based on 'doctrines of fear' to control. Americans are being lied to, spied on and subjected to daily 'propaganda of fear' to incite conflict in the middle east. There Never was a exit plan for Iraq by design. Fourteen-(14) permanent bases are being constructed as I type this OP-ED. Oops, I mean 'enduring freedom' bases! How touching! Our Mainstream media along with Congress have been very complicit in this daily propaganda of fear to incite with NO oversight . If Our media and or Congress employed proper oversight with fact checking; Iraq would not be a US problem child today. Each and every rationale for this 'War of Deceit' in Iraq was a 'gross lie' served on a silver platter to all Americans by the Bush administration-(WHIG), Congress and the mainstream media with NO fact checking. Yesterday, Baby Bush stated: "if Iraq wants us to leave, we will!" That is a blatant lie. Once again, let's go back to the permanent bases being constructed as I type this out. There is NO leaving Iraq and or the Middle East by DESIGN. Edwin Anthony Dalecki, Jr. Lewes Beach, DE EdwinAnthony@verizon.net
You didn't link to Ron Paul's *current* YouTube channel: http://youtube.com/ronpaul2008dotcom There are 20 videos there and links to 17 others.
I've been out of the state all week (not really by choice - needed the $), and I come home to a local paper's headline, "War Games off Iranian Coast". The gawdawful hotel we were in didn't have MSNBC - and the little energy I had at the end of our 13+ hour workdays was expended on emails to home. I've got a week of "Countdown" to catch up on this weekend (and a SC) - it will have to wait for the weekend; I s'pose my reactions will have to wait...
These tapes are like Promotional Porno. "Prono". The winner gets the media to make a "Prono Movie" of them for four-to-eight years. Rated PG-65.
the ron paul youtube site you looked up is incorrect. this is it http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=ronpaul2008dotcom he has quite a few more videos
Greetings Independent Texas...your use of Shrub just cracks me up...if you don't mind, I have used it several times...I really like King Shrub...and does the name Spintronic mean anything to you? Someone left a post on my blog under the name Spintronic and mentioned King Shrub...I remembered I first read about the "Shrub" on the Countdown Blog...if it was you, thanks for reading my blog...just glad someone is reading my blog!!! your two posts are half of the comments I have received!!! Have a good holiday weekend Independent...
Hillary must be the stub, please those legs are disgusting.
Thanks George but Molly Ivins was the genius that came up with the "shrub" moniker. If you haven't yet experienced that pleasure, please get her books. She's a down home Texas girl and she knew this guy from the beginning. I always thought that her books should have been required reading for all american voters. Thanks again. Nope - can't say that "Spintronic" is familiar to me. (John Phila - LOVE the "stub" remark although you really need to come up with something for the rest of the candidates to avoid a sexism charge. (smile))
Keith i really dig you, but go do some more homework on who is really winning the Youtube wars. Ron Paul has many more videos that you and your staff seem to have not located. Just saying you might need to make another update to the article.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Keith Olberman - Father Coughlin to the left.
Ron Paul has many more videos then you allude to... please don a little more homework... Thanks... I Agree... However, if this is to come about we will require a war chest... I am attempting to get 1 Million people to send Ron Paul only $7.00 each per Month... If you have any ideas as to how we might bring this about please communicate with me and perhaps we may structure a forum of like minded patriots... Thanks... Joel... Meanwhile Consider The Following: Our Only Choice!!! Leadership 2008 Can Ron Paul Win? On The Issues A Resounding YES! Knowing this let us then look at the most important benefit… that Ron Paul brings to the Presidency "Leadership" Leadership is Action Through *Example Not Position... (It is not a position of power nor being in the right place at the right time, neither define leadership. It is defined by setting the example through taking action on such Leadership Traits as Truthfulness! Honesty! Fidelity! ) Ron Paul Has Acted Admirably On All These Leadership Traits: “Truthfulness” first and foremost… Then: Principle, Integrity, Honesty,* Fidelity (to their oaths), Honor, Virtue, Compassion, Courage, Vision, Wisdom and Faith. DARE TO COMPARE Can anyone bring forth any other candidate (GOP or DEM, etc.) that can lay claim to all of these characteristics? I believe we are all hard pressed to do so... “Strike That”. I KNOW we ARE hard pressed! http://leadership2008.bravehost.com Get the word out "SHARE" with your friends...
Independent..I went to graduate school in Dallas from 1986-1989 and taught at Brookhaven Community College from 1989-1992...Molly Ivins was a treat...loved her writings...shame she died recently...have a great holiday weekend...Shrub is so fitting...so Molly...thanks...
Wow, what a surprise...Olbermann thinks Hillary is the Best!
Dear Keith, not too long ago i discovered your program and have been loyally following it since. It was refreshing to see a real honest perspective on what is happening in the world. As of late however i have been dismayed. I cannot not understand you or your programs reluctance to cover the candidate who, from all the online polls as well as the polls conducted via cell phones after the may 15 debate is clearly in the lead. Ron Paul. If not simply for that; then for a position and platform that clearly defines him apart from any of the candidates republican or democratic. If it is the staff at your program that is failing to produce the research then you really should have a talk with them. If it is you then i really dont know what to say. Step up a little more Keith it is to everyones benefit. I have enjoyed listening to your criticisms of the administration and i want to continue watching your show. Yours most sincerely Pietro Cappello NYC
"Hillary must be the stub, please those legs are disgusting. John, Phila (Sent Friday, May 25, 2007 11:59 AM)" Wow, how astute of you! Is that all you have? Crikey!
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil, is that good men do nothing. Right now evil triumphs, as Cheney directs it and Bush is the puppet for it. What more do we need to see? Does Cheney have to start World War 3, in order for us, fat, lazy, apathetic Americans, to do something? I support nothing other than a revolution. This system is finished. Our economy is finished. Our banks are finished. Our industry is finished. Our sovereignty is finished. Our Constitution is finished, and we need to reinstate it! Our freedom is finished. We can rise up, as of now. Once you're a slave, your options are limited.
Wow! You didn't even get the correct Ron Paul channel! How could you make such an obvious mistake? And by the way, Ron Paul's YouTube channel now has more subscribers than ANY other candidate... including Obama! But will you make a correction? I doubt it. Doesn't the press just want to ignore Paul and hope he goes away? Or, as you did, report incorrect information in hopes that the rest of America doesn't hear what he has to say?
Kelley, I think this "anti-Ron Paul" bias you keep seeing is in your mind...however, if you expect the News Hole to promote him over all other candidates, you are probably barking up the wrong tree...that would be true of all other candidates as well, I would hope.
Dear Keith, I love the show and watch it every day. It occured to me while I was watching a piece about Scooter Libby, that it might make an interesting segment for "Keeping Tabs" if you did a review of everyone who has left the White House and had their future tainted by participating in the Bush Administration. PS I was sick today so I decided to comiserate by watching Fox Cable News. I was only able to stand about 5 minutes of Niel Cavoto and the blond talking heads they call newspersons. Please keep up the good work.
Mr. Olberman your comments in your added segment about the direction of the democratic party couldnt be more on point. However you accused the entire democratic party of falling short of ending the war in Iraq. You fail to remember or mention that Mike Gravel has introduced the US Armed Forced Withdrawal From Iraq Act so that America does have an alternitive to end the war. I commend you on your thoughts however i wish you would focus on those who are willing to make a change rather then join the main streams medias attempt to hide Mike Gravel from the primary voters. http://www.gravel2008.us/?q=node/1191
SDE - WOW!! After reading your post, I am having difficulty breathing. Thank you for taking the time to bring us the truth. Please be safe and PEACE SDE!!
This is unbelievable. Ron Paul has nearly double the YouTube subscribers as Obama and and naerly four times the subscribers as Hillary. Also, there are more Ron Paul "fan" videos than all other candidates combined. Geez Keith...Also, you have the link wrong to his YouTube channel. His channel is ronpaul2008dotcom.
You have the wrong youtube site for Ron Paul. This is the right one: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=RonPaul2008dotcom
Ron Paul's youtube site has over 11 THOUSAND subscribers. Thats more than Clinton and Obama COMBINED. And agian, his ACTUAL youtube site is: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=RonPaul2008dotcom I guess your staff just "overlooked" this bit of information.
According to the info at the top of this page, at the time of this post, this web log was "Posted: Friday, May 25, 2007 1:30 AM by Countdown" Ok. So here's a real update. At that time. The official Ron Paul channel on YouTube, RonPaul2008dotcom had more than 10,000 subscribers and had posted more than 15 videos. My post is not about bias but accuracy. The opinions of this program are intended to be biased, but inaccuracy gives it the appearance of propaganda.
Ron Paul is the people's champion. There is no other. His momentum is genuine, from the bottom up. It is reflecting poorly on MSNBC that the incorrect YouTube link was posted here. This time its different folks. Ron Paul represents all that America has lost and its time to get together and make our government respect individual liberty. Mainstream Media (corporate facists) continue to block and ignore the movement of Ron Paul...hopefully enough people will join in. And we should all pray for Mr. Paul's safety as he courageously speaks the truth which we so rarely hear.
Please make a correction the Ron Paul error.
Yeah, Countdown fails at Internet. Learn to YouTube.
Is obama african-african or kenyan-american, gotta screw the guns or empty dem magazine...4sure da trick is we damn all are in the dark side of the tube, baby bush - white surface Arizona.
Althjough I would love to see Mr. Paul win the election, I don't see it happening. So, the real question is, who will he throw his support to when he has to bow out?
Defy all tiny-minded, unelected pundits, who are mere stooges for that bigoted, socialistic, totalitarian regime, Israel... Reclaim freedom by supporting the "Founding Father among us now; Ron Paul for President!
I often wonder what some politicians have done in the past 5 years besides run for offices all over the country? What a waste of taxpayer money.
First Fox, then CNN. Please don't tell me MSNBC is becoming glutten to the mainstream media censorship of Ron Paul. Keith, we love you man - but get your facts straight about Ron Paul - he is currently dominating YouTube. Do your research next time!
Those videos are hilarious. Too many videos is a problem for one person
Ron Paul is the only candidate not spewing the same Republicrat non-sense that got us into this mess in the first place. On the Tancredo how can anyone trivialize the Illegal immigration issue? Is it the 25 murders a day that appeals to you or the prospect that the U.S. is being transformed into a 3rd world nation, Perhaps it's the anti-American communists, terrorists, reconquista's etc flooding over the border who are so appealing. Yes they really are doing that by the tens of thousands per year, it's not just strawberry pickers looking for a job. I've never really been a big fan of tuberculosis either. And no this is not a racist comment I have many Hispanic friends here and in Mexico, own and attempt to play a Mexican guitar, Love Mexican food (it's my favorite)Have been to Mexico twice and would consider having vacation home their, had plans to set up a business in Mexico with my Mexican friends, have employed many Mexicans, and I'm a white middle aged male who spends almost all of my time investigating and exposing/suing white middle aged male financial criminals so pulling the race or prejudice card on me won't work.
McCain touched his mouth twice in 90 seconds. Whoopee. Talk about overanalyzing, or maybe stretching to find some sort of critique.
i just remember what a hash of things her husband made-and she was behind half of it-he gave her credit, remember? do you Really want that in the white house? I'll take any of the others, just don't let her have a 2nd chance to kill us. or sell us, like she did the san diego naval base-the clintons got some of that, too according to the news, remember? Personal Gain from selling to the chinese government. tsk, tsk-like we wouldn't find out. So who do we go for? Obama? McCain? but either way, they Have to be better than hillary. (or some left-wing "peace at any pricer")
SDE. Too bad I couldn't blog, back in Vietnam. There are some of us who hear you loud and clear. And remember what Yogi Berra said, "I'm not superstitious...it brings bad luck."
Keith, I am a bit upset and sick and tired of the media spin and we expect better from you. Ron Paul is the clear front runner.Don't sell out to the evil globalist and play the game. I have a good hunch that this country might actually be heading towards another American revolution and we will not forget who was there and who was not. RON PAUL REVOLUTION!!!!!! LET IT NOT BE SAID THAT WE DID NOTHING. In the begining of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, brave, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds however, the timid join him, for then it cost nothing to be a Patriot...... Mark Twain
yes hillarys spot was the most savvey and richardsons was the funniest, but nobody except ron paul and dennis kucinich are speaking the truth in an honest and direct way. several weeks ago there was a piece on the death of habeus corpus it was chilling RP and DK are the only ones calling a spade a spade. do your country a favor and give them there do.
I concur with the rest of the folks asking for a bit more time for Dr. Ron Paul. Thank you in advance Keith. C. Wesley Fowler Memphis, Tennessee
Check your "FACTS" MSNBC! This is not journalism this is disinformation. May 28, 2007 Congressman Ron Paul now has twice as many YouTube subscribers as all of the other Republican candidates for president combined. Here are the numbers: Paul - 12,103 Romney - 2,059 Giuliani - 1,429 McCain - 1,291 Hunter - 413 Huckabee - 342 Tancredo - 211 Brownback - 111 Gilmore - 60 Thompson - 0 Total - 5,916 Congressman Paul also has twice as many YouTube subscribers as Barack Obama who has 5,988, and nearly four times as many as Hillary Clinton who has 3,517 subscribers. Ron Paul 2008 YouTube Channel http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=RonPaul2008dotcom
The problem with Hillary is that even if she gets the nomination and wins the election, she will not be able to govern effectively - too many people hate her guts. Obama is inexperienced. Edwards is an inexperienced pretty-boy. We need a President who can bring us together - form a consensus to get things done - and has the experience to know what needs to be done and get it done. The person for the job is obviously AL GORE!
I was mildly encouraged to find this page (dated 5/25/07) today (8/16/07) linked through MSNBC. It's the first time I have seen this kind of coverage on the "mainstream" news links.
I was sort of disappointed, though, to find Rep. Kucinich near the bottom of your list. (To date when you enter Kucinich in the YouTube search, it shows 1,980 videos} You even say that there should be a test on this stuff. Perhaps we could have persuaded the U.S. Congress NOT to pass the bill supporting the corporate thievery of Iraqi oil had the average American been a little better informed. Rep. Kucinich spoke for an hour on the floor of the House on 5/23/07, two days before your original posting, outlining EXACTLY what Bush and his cronies intended to do. But, without public outcry and demands for justice, all the folks in Congress who depend upon corporate money, for one reason or another, just gave in to the cartels, The Carlyle, and the U.S. Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (goto http://www.usacc.org/contents.php?cid=2
If you dare…scarier than  Psycho, Halloween and Silence of the Lambs combined.)
He doesn’t (and never has) take(n) money from corporations. He only has the support of individual Americans who are longing for truth and integrity and INFORMATION.
If you’re half the man I think you are, you’ll be one of the few in “mainstream” media to give him a little more time…I don’t expect Fairness Doctrine or any such silly Liberal hooha…..just a fair shake.
Eat your heart out, MSNBC and all you other neo-cons.  You know Ron Paul's support is real and he is by far the biggest political threat you have faced in modern times. Who will he throw his support to if he is defeated?  Same person I will give my support to:  I ain't voting if Ron Paul doesn't run.  I'd rather shoot myself than vote for any of the other candidates.
