George Carlin?! The sensei of every wise ass New Yorker. Too cool. Oh, the anarchy!
BTW...sorry...I am looking forward to hearing what Valerie Plame Wilson has to say, too.

KEITH AND GEORGE TOGETHER!!!! :D :D :D :D :D
Wow - 2 must see interviews.  I saw George Carlin when he performed here a few months ago.  Can't wait.
Oh, the glorious chaos will be something I won't miss.
Twisted Krista , I saw George Carlin 40 years ago - wasn't funny then. Has he learned more than 7 words you can't say on TV ?

Everyone needs to watch Valerie. Asa matter of fact, Keith ought to get Bob Novac on the same show. Never happen because he's not interested in the truth. Ask her about the declassified memo where she did recommend Joe Wilson for the trip to Niger. She definately lied before the Senate committe , was not covert at the time either. Ask the tough questions Keith , come on ,show everyone what a man you are. Otherwise you'll be just another puss in the democrat party .

Ditto friend, I will be glued to the TV!!

PEACE!!

I love Carlin's acerbic wit and way of telling it like it is! Should be a great show.
A DVR recording to keep forever! CARAMBA! (HOT DAMN!)
The hidden thread dropped, does this mean an update is coming?
Sue, West Allis, Wisconsin (Sent Tuesday, October 23, 2007 2:06 PM)  Mr. Carlin has actually visited "my fair city" twice in the last couple of years, and I saw him both times. Fun stuff!!
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071023/ap_po/clinton_executive_power

Hillary would give back unconstitutional
executive powers? Dare we hope?

Doesn't that fall under the heading of Decision 08...
Way to go Keith George Carlin YES!!!!!!!!! At seventy the man still has it. Have seen him in concert many many times. And I was able to see him in an unusual format,"An Evening With George Garlin"where he sat and talked about his life with the small intimate audience taking questions, very informal, very insightful.

Two excellent guests.
Great booking!!

WAY TO GO KEITH
Am I othe only one that thinks Valerie Plame, for a over-forty mother of two, is incredibly hot? 'Course, I always did find smart women sexy.

Can't wait to hear what George has to say tonight, either!
Laura in Los Angeles (Sent Tuesday, October 23, 2007 2:34 PM)  A-Freakin'-Men, my dear! A-FREAKIN-MEN!! Hopefully, no tech glitches tonight like last night!!

After putting together one of the most finely crafted Bottom Five, and then not seeing it, I'm pretty steamed. Maybe I'll just start sending them to the Salon of People from here and forget giving out free comedy to the Thief of Countdown.  I'm gonna chew on that for a while.  ST

DITTO FRIEND!! I'll be glued to the TV!! I posted the email address on the thread you requested it; however, it was not posted.  If it doesn't get posted, I'll email it to you.

PEACE!!
Sorry, Keith. I love ya but am underwhelmed by the new look. BTW, when are you guys gonna by in HD?

Carlin and Plame, won't miss it.
Carlin is a cracker. I like to listen to him. Too bad none of the Dems have the same sharp satirical wit to get their message across about the need to end this Iraq mess and to get our kids redeployed. Carlin for President!!!

WHY AREN'T YOU ON XM SATELLITE RADIO?  WILL YOU BE AGAIN SOON?
Keith- could you ask which torture technique we could use to get Larry to stop drinking the koolaid.
Oh, woe is me. < weeps softly into hands > I won't be able to watch it, tonight or any other night in the near future. :-(

You see, Keith, my wife just switch us from cable to fios and our fios provider does not offer msnbc in our area. I know, I was shocked. Everything is the same but msnbc is missing. What gives? And I HAVE tried watching Countdown online, but it's just not the same.

Can you talk to your bosses, Keith? Maybe they can figure out a way to stream msnbc's programming "live" over the net. You know, the way Air America and NPR does with their radio feed.

Please, please, please, PLEASE!!! talk to them. I want to watch Countdown and Hardball the way God intended. in one 60 minute period (with commercials).
Don't give up hope California. Michael Chertoff is on his way to save you. God help all of you. My prayers are with you.
"Ask the tough questions Keith , come on ,show everyone what a man you are. Otherwise you'll be just another puss in the democrat party ." Larry Charleston, SC

I'd point out the hypocrisy of a doofus fan of the right daring to challence the manliness,of, well...anybody. But there wouldn't be much point.

Heck, the only real men left in the RNC are Ron Paul, Chuck hagel, and Ann Coulter.

No REAL woman has an adam's apple like that.
"Democrats who voted yes on the waste of time motion to condemn Congressman Stark: (followed by meaningless drivel..)"

You're a fool.  Who determines what and what censure movement is a "waste of time."  Go back to bed.
Started reading Plame's book last night.  (Good thing I went to my local Barnes & Noble to buy it -- didn't have it out at 7 p.m.  Had to ask for it, but when they brought me my copy, they brought out a stack for the table, too).  Only got through the first chapter (I have a 3 year old -- could take me months to read the whole thing).  Anyway, was fascinated by the amount of CIA redactions.  I understand a lot of it, but did they really have to redact what she ordered at a restaurant one night on her first tour of duty?  Seems a little over-the-top.  She and Joe will be on Larry King Live as well, if you can stand to listen to Larry's inane interview style.
C A, Tuscaloosa, AL (Sent Tuesday, October 23, 2007 3:19 PM)  Mr. Carlin for president...wouldn't that be faboo?!
Nanalinda, San Antonio, TX (Sent Tuesday, October 23, 2007 3:58 PM)

Thanks!! I can't even breathe right now; the smoke is so bad and the fire trucks, ambulances and police sirens are non-stop.  The Santa Clarita fire, one of the worst, is right near my office.

They just announced a second fatality; why we don't CLOSE I don't know.  My 50-mile drive in the gusty winds, smoke-filled skies and ash-filled air will be terrifying!!

PRAY!!

How about using MSNBC video on your puter?  Click on any of the video links and they'll play.  You can specify a particular show like Countdown and select all the segments you want to view.  BTW commercials are included too.

Anyone still having confusion or problems with the new video are welcome to use the "Feedback" link on the bottom of the video page.  They have a whole team monitoring what comes in and even contact you with help and for more comments.  They really, really want to make it better.

Nana - stop scaring the nice people in California by telling them Chertoff (Skeletor) is coming to help them.  Of course, he isn't coming.  He's sending expensive, no-bid, cost-plus contractors to help themselves to taxpayers money by pretending to help those affected by the fires.

I can't wait to see what excuses the insurance companies come up with to get out of paying for the damage.  They already used up the "water damage" exclusion one for all the damage caused by Katrina.

When the moment and lighting are right and there is absolutely no danger whatsoever, BushCo will be right over for the usual hug-a-victim and make-promises-to-help-that-I'm-not-going-to-honor photo oportunity.

Same old, same old.  Rinse and repeat.
For goodness sakes Pam - be careful.
Pam..4:20..BE CAREFUL FRIEND! Didn't realize you are so close to these monsters. Don't attempt going home if you don't have to. Unless you've got pets, stay in a motel or something, it gets dark earlier now you know. A bit ago smoke clouds were over us, smell everywhere, ash everywhere..this is awful. JUST BE CAREFUL..my prayers for your safety.
Sue 4:22 PM..oh Sue, Dubya's visit??? scares me more then if "gut feeling" Chertoff was coming. Can we get Arnie to find a reason why Bush shouldn't come..
Pam Bignardi, San Pedro, California (Sent Tuesday, October 23, 2007 4:20 PM)  Ditto to what others have said here...BE SAFE, PLEEEZZZEEE!
Larry Charleston, SC (Sent Tuesday, October 23, 2007 2:26 PM)

Larry,
I'm impressed you're so full of information....or at least full of something.  Too bad none of this information is from first hand knowledge.  Once again you're just repeating what you hear other neonons say.  Larry, I don't ask for much but please try to be original and have your own thoughts. Did you plagarize alot while attending the Citadel?  Your blog sounds like you are starting to whine and throw a tantrum.  I wonder where you get that from.....could it be from your hero Bozo.
Pam Bignardi, San Pedro, California (Sent Tuesday, October 23, 2007 4:20 PM)

Laura in Los Angeles (Sent Tuesday, October 23, 2007 4:33 PM)

Be safe Pam and laura.  I wish I could send you all these thunderstorms were having in AL to put out the fires.
Pam - Is your boss so frigging greedy he can't afford to close the place before it burns down?  Is he waiting to flames to reach his desk before he announces it's time to go home?  Or is there a clause in his fire insurance that demands at least one employee death before they pay his claim?

The heartless fool needs a good excuse for this one.

Drive safely - my prayers are with you.

PS - I just saw on CNN that BOTH Skeletor and Paulson are headed for California.  Yikes - just what they need - more hot air to blow those fires into more people's homes.
Pam: You dont work for one of those right wing profit all or nothing over people's safety organizations do you? If you do get the hell out. Even if you don't get the hell out. If they fire ya no big deal, one of us here will give you a job.
Mike, AL (Sent Tuesday, October 23, 2007 4:49 PM)

Thanks Mike and you be careful too; those thunderstorms are dangerous!!

PEACE!!
Mike 4:49 PM..that would be great..we really need even high humidity about now. Humidity in single digits, which only adds to the problem. Mike, Lake Arrowhead is devastated. Running Springs also. Huge bellows of smoke. So many homes gone, so much forest gone, I am ready to cry at the devastation of the state I love.
Pam: Oppssss. "Fire ya" was the wrong thing to say. I meant if they terminate ya one of us here will give you a job. Sorry. In any case tell your employers you are out of there.
PS - I just saw on CNN that BOTH Skeletor and Paulson are headed for California.  Yikes - just what they need - more hot air to blow those fires into more people's homes.
Sue, West Allis, Wisconsin (Sent Tuesday, October 23, 2007 4:53 PM)

Greed is NOT a sufficient enough word; however, your comment about Skeletor and Paulson at least made me laugh!!  By the way, I am the ONLY person here today!!

Never in my life have I experience such so "close to home"!!

PEACE & THANKS FRIEND!!
Krista Swisher, Indianapolis, IN (Sent Tuesday, October 23, 2007 4:40 PM)

Please don't say "ditto".  I always think of Rush and his callers when I hear that word.....or maybe it's the movie Ghost I think of.  OK I think I'll stick with latter.
Oh noooo..Bush will be here on Thursday...noooo!
C A, Tuscaloosa, AL (Sent Tuesday, October 23, 2007 4:57 PM)

With the twins in college, "needing a job" is the ONLY reason I'm staying!!

Thanks you & PEACE MY DEAR, DEAR FRIEND!!
