Tonight at 8p ET tune in to Countdown for one of Keith's Special comments regarding the revelation that the President knew about the possible suspension of an Iranian nuclear program in August.

A bright man, or an honest man, would have realized no later than the McConnell briefing that the only true danger about Iran was the damage that could be done by an unhinged, irrational Chicken Little of a president, shooting his mouth off, backed up by only his own hysteria and his own delusions of omniscience.

Not Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Mr Bush. The Chicken Little of presidents is the one, Sir, that you see in the mirror.

And the mind reels at the thought of a Vice President fully briefed on the revised Intell as long as two weeks ago -- briefed on the fact that Iran abandoned its pursuit of this imminent threat four years ago -- who never bothered to mention it to his boss.

Before we allow Bush/Cheney to lead us into another 'elective' war over what Iran may or may not be thinking, planning or doing...

Wouldn't it make more sense for our government to be paying attention to the two volatile countries (North Korea and Pakistan) that already have nukes and aren't that stable? Shouldn't we be concentrating on rebuilding the intelligence network for monitoring nuclear proliferation that Bush/Cheney destroyed with the outing of covert CIA agent Valerie Plame.

The fact that Bush/Cheney are concentrating on Iran, leads me to the inevitable conclusion that "It's about the OIL", again.

I hope Keith will talk about "the surge" and if it is working, if it failed or what is happening. Also I am hoping that Keith can travel to Iraq and be with the troops at Christmas and give them some gifts and stuff it would mean so much to them. I know the president wants to kill or sacrifice as many of them as possible as Keith has mentioned so aid or comfort of any kind would be greatly appreciated by them. A hard hitting report from the field in Baghdad would help us all to really understand what is going on there. Please Keith, help us and the troops this time and give us the best Christmas ever.

I always get confused by the messages on this site. On one hand some people say "give them hell Keith" or "we must fight this administration" then they end their messages with "PEACE". There is no "PEACE" in war until the end of the fight. You must be filled with hate, anger, emotion and other things or you will lose every time. I don't think many here know what it means to fight. I don't think many here have really fought except with other family members or their neighbors and little things like that but not for real....for life. Simple words annunciated loudly or with anger is not a fight. The taking up of arms and using them with extreme terminal malice is the real deal not from a behind a computer screen or TV camera. Fortunately few of us living in a heated or air conditioned house filled with all of the food and comforts we can afford will ever experience a real fight just the one they have chosen to create in our own mind.

Seems to me, folks should be a lot more concerned about Pakistan having nuclear weapons, considering the place is in chaos. Like Ms.Swisher and MK I too am from Indianapolis. a state to my horror which swallows a lot of what the administration spoons out. Hopefully this pres election will change that. I am still having trouble getting my hands on full transcripts of the show. Even this special comment was either the shortest of Keith's career or I am doing something wrong. After Karl Rove's attempted rewriting of history on Charlie Rose nothing could ever surprise me. The scariest part of that is that Big Brother is already happening and certain seeds are being planted to give the ministry of truth something to work with. I actually read the report...no where in it could the following passage be gleaned actual or insinuated "briefed on the "fact" that Iran abandoned its pursuit of this imminent threat four years ago -- who never bothered to mention it to his boss". No where in the report are the "facts" printed. The report simply presents a picture of what the reporters thinks they see given the information collected from the 16 different agency's. In the report one can find "policy" statements. This FACT alone should make the document suspect. The "coulds" the "may haves" the usual wording is found many times in this document. Do your home work if a "search for the truth" is your intent otherwise your words are as hollow as your credibility and simply tumble down the steep embankment and softly land at the bottom of the seeping pile of regurgitated rhetoric.

The fact is, you don't have and never will have all the intelligence information needed to make an intelligent assessment. The fact that Bush is a liar, surprises no one. That is why he was hand picked to become President by the neo-cons. He is doing what he was elected to do.

Despite the reports on Iran that came out a couple of days ago, nothing has changed. And if your waiting for the Congress to impeach, forget it.

They will not. The idea is to keep the war in place as Bush's war. Until the election, so the Dems can take the Whitehouse. This cynical grab for the Whitehouse just might get a Republican elected. The Dems have not understood just why they were given a mandate by most of us. They are so afraid of being called soft on the military etc, that they are willing to see more death.

The President has no mandate. AT least none since Jeff Gannon slithered along the west wing as Bush's mandate. And even now the Dems will not do the right thing. They have no spine.

Keith is one of the few people willing to call a liar, a liar. The so called good manners that seem to keep others from doing the same is ridiculous. The good manners of the house and senate have cost us our liberties and a large chunk of the Constitution.
