ABOUT THE NEWS HOLE

It's the new award-winning blog* from the cast and crew of the award-winning television news hour** "Countdown with Keith Olbermann."

We heard about this whole "blogosphere" business from Tom DeLay, and came to the immediate realization that we too, "needed to become involved" in it.

So here it is. Covering the big news, the small news, medium-sized and irregular, The News Hole strives to bring everything you love or hate about Countdown to the internets.

Extra Countdown Tonight

Posted: Thursday, February 21, 2008 1:14 PM by Countdown

Tonight at 8pm ET we'll have all the latest on the McCain scandal (though he would disagree with that description) including reaction from his fellow presidential candidates, fallout from the Limbaugh-lead McCain detractors on the right, and much much more.

Plus...tonight at 10 pm, we'll have another special post-debate Countdown follwing the CNN hosted Obama/Clinton debate. As Keith says...watch it there, understand it here.

What "kills" me about all this hub-bub is the fact that the TIMES was working on this story when they were preparing to ENDORSE HIM! Why didn't they wait to endorse? Did they consider him the lesser of the "viable" GOP evils that were before them? I tell ya' though...with "friends" like the TIMES...

I'll TRY to make it through the post-debate analysis, but some of us have to get up with the chickens to go to work, ya' know! ;)
Does this mean that the blog will also be up?
NO!!!
Should this end up as a sex scandal (along with the whole lobbying magilla) whatever will Holy Joe (Lieberman) do?
I wish this story had more substance to it. Alot of accusations from aides and heresay, does make for truth. Since both parties are denying any involvement with each other, where is this story going? and who started this ball rolling to begin with?

My understanding is that the editorial page operates independently of the reporting and that's the explanation for the seemingly two-handed approach to McCain. (Unless it was some sort of bizarre postmodern commentary on McCain's own track record of switching positions.)
Please read the whole article - the sex scandal is meaningless - it's the Keating scandal and the earmarks and the FCC interference, etc. - cronyism about which McCain claims to abhor.  This is not just hypocrisy, but is interference and influence peddling extraordinaire.
Kieth Thank you, Thank you. I am watching your show and it is once again awesome. Man of the decade to you! Eri  c Brown
I truly hope that the last Dem. debate on MSNBC goes better then the one on CNN. I have one request for the debate on MSNBC, make the candidate answer the questions asked of them and make the answer and not dance around it. If they try to dance around it, then cut them off and move on, please.
i think it was conceding at the end of the debate on hillarys part.  at least that is how it sounded to me.  that she wants what is best for america even if it means barack wins
Hilary complained about Barack using someone else's words.  Wasn't it John Edwards who said "when this is done, we will be fine."    Hilary should be careful whose words she plagerizes too.
At the end of the debate, Sen. Clinton said "Whatever happens, we will be fine..."  Wasn't that Plagiarism from John Edwards?  I heard him said that A LOT during his speech.  I believe Sen. Edwards used to say "Whatever happens, we will be fine.  But will America be fine?"
If she accuse Sen. Obama plagiarising his campaing manager, then she should have been really really really careful herself.
This is another reason why none of my family members will vote for Sen. Clinton.
