ABOUT THE NEWS HOLE

It's the new award-winning blog* from the cast and crew of the award-winning television news hour** "Countdown with Keith Olbermann."

We heard about this whole "blogosphere" business from Tom DeLay, and came to the immediate realization that we too, "needed to become involved" in it.

So here it is. Covering the big news, the small news, medium-sized and irregular, The News Hole strives to bring everything you love or hate about Countdown to the internets.

Your feedback and hate mail is encouraged.

The Final Debate*

Posted: Tuesday, February 26, 2008 2:59 PM by Countdown

Tonight is the 20th and perhaps final Democratic Primary debate and if the past few days have been any indication, it could be a barn burner. Keith will be on at 8pm ET to do a full hour of wall to wall debate preview...and then hand off to Tim Russert (who will join us to preview at 8 o'clock) and Brian Williams who will moderate the big showdown. Afterwards at 10:30 ET, Keith is back with Chris Matthews, and our normal cast of political junkies to digest the evening's events until midnight ET. It promises to be a tremendous night...millions will be watching, we hope you're among them!

*Unless there's another debate, in which case this debate would be the second to last debate.

Hope or Fear.  I can't decide. Maybe the debate will help.

The general election will be either fear versus fear or fear versus hope.

I hope I'm wrong but I fear I'm right.
Is there going to be "live" blogging - or any blogging? Maybe?? Please?! Pretty please?! With sugar on top??? And, a cherry???!

I'll hang in there as long as I can tonight until dying brain cells and/or the Sand Man catch up with me.
We have to watch on-line as our cable company doesn't include MSNBC. Yes, we are the same town where the CBS affiliate "accidentally" blacked out half of the 60 Minutes piece on Gov. Siegelman's political incarceration.  (That's just the tip of the iceberg.  Attorney Alice Martin is now working to achieve Republican majority in our legislature by attempting to indicting Democratic representatives.)
I like Hillary, however feel that she has been pretty desperate of late.  Her mocking Obama is making her look bad -- not him.  Her over the top behavior is making him indeed look calm, organized, and yes, Presidential!

Maybe we should start a foundation called Radio Free Alabama. Come on Keith you can do it. Tell us where to send our contribution and I will donate. While some of you may be laughing, as I am, I still think it is a good idea.
I hope these two try and behave themselves tonight. Their last debate and both will be trying to have the last word.
Y McLain Huntsville, AL (Sent Tuesday, February 26, 2008 4:04 PM) Well, aren't you just the luckiest?
Q. Which former President had as much foreign policy experience as George W. Bush had before becoming President?

A. Bill Clinton
A barn burner for sure!!

Can't wait to see this one.
is it possible to have an indication on if the debate will go live online anyway, anywhere? am a young mozambican student in italy and am interested on it.. thanks a lot. C
