BAD MoveOn.org" amendment, Sens. Boxer and Durbin got in the face of John "Yes, There Are More Idiots In Texas" Cornyn, who was bleating out the talking points about how horrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrible MoveOn's ad was. They asked what the difference was between the MoveOn ad and the egregious (AHH-OOH-GAHH!) dumped on Kerry and on Max Cleland. Cornyn said that Kerry and Cleland were politicians, and should expect that kind of thing.

(Boxer put up a competing amendment to Cornyn's, using the same language but including a line slamming ALL negative advertising such as Swift Boat and the Cleland ads. It fell 51-44, with 3 abstaining, just like there were 3 abstaining votes on the 72-25 vote. Wonder if those 3 votes are running for President. Hmmmmmmmmmm...)

Aside from the fact that there's a HUGE difference between MoveOn playing rhyming games and the RadRelRight morphing Cleland's face into Saddam Hussein, Cornyn basically said it's perfectly okay to lie like a rug if the person you're lying about is your opponent on the ballot. Guess Lincoln and Douglas went about it all wrong. We have no say in the governments agenda. They are all blowing smoke up our collective asses. I firmly believe that if we are to make any head way in resolving the Middle East crisis( Afghan, Iraq AND Iran) theis adminsitration must be de throned- impeach investigate prosecute and punished for Derelction of duty and treason. But it is obvios our Congress will not act. So I wrote a letter to the UN- asking them to follow through with their considerations to bring Bush & Cheney up on War Crimes. I also requested they use thier influence in any way they can to help US restore our Democracy and rule of law. Sad day when a citizen of a 'democratic' nation must request assistance from an exterior entity to help give the people back their voice and control over their own govt. Since our congress seems oblivious to our demand, perhaps the pressure from our global neighbors will do the trick. I would greet them as liberators, with flowers. I could even learn a new language- I'm SO PISSED and disillusioned and worried where this ride is leading with DICK at the wheel. If nothing else I want the UN to public humiliate and discredit this admin- let the world know they understand it is NOT US, it's the work of THEM. Help US regain our Democracy and we will return (build) the America we all admire and depend on.
Welcom back,Keith
sorry the shit's still mesed up.

The President of Hypocrisy

D. I'm sooo glad you're back. My wife, who used to work in medicine, told me in pretty graphic detail about how serious a burst appendix can be. You're a real trooper and a great American.

The others are right - this may be your best comment ever. Every time I hear "our" "President" (and I'm using both terms very loosely) use the phrase "Democrat Party" I want to throw a brick at my TV set. Thank you for lobbing the proverbial brick for me. The man (as well as the Party he represents)is the personification of hypocrisy - trotting out the military as their political mouthpieces so that when the oppposition disagrees with the message they (the Republic Party) can say that Democrats don't support the military. Of course, it's ok to trash a disabled vet (Max Cleland) if he's a Democrat. What they did to him has infuriated me beyond measure - here is a man confined to a wheelchair because he lost both legs in Vietnam. Then the Republicans (headed by two men who have never fired a shot in anger) question his patriotism! How dare they!

Anyway, it's good to have you back, Keith. Hope your speedy recovery continues.

The President of Hypocrisy

Thank you, Keith! Thanks Keith for speaking up.

The people are going to have to rise up and take back their government and their country from both sides of the isle. The Dems have not yet learned that in order to be effective they have to redefine themselves and act like they stand for something without allowing the republicans, outside organizations or other extremist personalities to define it for them. They have to become stronger and more defiant in the face of those like Bush and the current republicans. They have to study and learn the fabric of this country and what incites the American people. The have to shed themselves of this anti-war label and redefine themselves as anti-senseless-war. They need to learn how to speak to the American people without looking like has-beens, also-rans or juts plain insincere cry babies. And they need leadership beyond the bickering that will occur between the Dem front runners in the next several months. And finally they have to learn to play the game better then the republicans who can take this country down a very bad road yet have enough support to do it because they are better at defining who their oppostion is to the American people then the oppostion (the Dems) are at defining themselves.

The President of Hypocrisy

Oh Keith, you were awesome! I thought for a minute there that you were going to "pop a stitch or two" and I loved it! And you are so right! On top of your game as usual.

And speaking of games, as the calendar continues to wind down MLB's regular season as we look towards the playoffs, and regardless of how far they go in October, I'd just like to send my congratulations to the New York Yankees for their absolutely stunning season. In my humble opinion, the NYYs have managed to become the best team in baseball, again.

As the Yankees have proven, anything can happen. It takes 162 games. Every team will win 60 games, every team will lose 60 games.

It's the other 42 that really count.

Pennant races. In fact, be stupider under such circumstances.

I guess people like scotty small caps - and others - think (if you want to call it that) that if they just continue to act as stupid as they like, becoming incrementally stupider every day, sooner or later we will feel sorry for them and tell them, yes dear, you're right, just to get them to shut up and go away.

The President of Hypocrisy

Timmy, Milwaukee WI (Sent Monday, September 24, 2007 4:55 PM)

Thanks, I agree with you; "small caps" is fine, "B-lower case" is also good!!

PEACE FRIEND!!

The President of Hypocrisy

Oh, Scottie. I just saw your response to my accusation. The fact that this blog is updated so infrequently became your downfall, fool. First you wrote a comment with Pam's name on it and then turned around shortly afterward and wrote your response to her supposed original comment. The problem with your ruse is that both your fake Pam comment and your response showed up on the blog during the same update! Now, Scottie, unless you're psychic, and knew what "Pam" was going to say before it was put on this site, how were you able to respond to it? I stand by my accusation. How old are you scottie?

The President of Hypocrisy

mad in Madtown,

It was done again just today, I'm also disgusted with the blog for not verifying email addresses.

The President of Hypocrisy

Keith - I never watch you so how could I miss you? A vision D. Eisenhower warned of. And from this fearfull dream, this nation is waking. Our eyes are opening to our new reality for the collective first time. This new vision before us is painful to our new eyes. Many will close them again in fear.
We see that we have been placated into ignorance, lied to by the very people entrusted to preserve and ensure our freedoms. This new vision is Painful, BUT FEAR NOT, THERE IS HOPE.
When a United States Marine like myself feels his heart break for the people of this nation as I watch our own Government destroy our republic not to the sound of guns or bombs, but to the thunderous applause of those held captive by terrified patriotic blindness, as our rights and dignity are erased like the memories our own great history of freedom, guided by the propaganda of fear. HAVE NO FEAR, THERE IS HOPE.
WE ARE THE PEOPLE, THIS IS OUR NATION.
When a Marine says Semper Fi, it means a lot of things to him. Always Faithful as it is said. When I say it, I mean to the people.
With love and openness, we can all overcome ignorance, and restore our freedoms and liberty.
THERE IS STILL A HOPE.
                          Ron Paul
