That last blog was just a test. Yes I know " O say can you see..." Francis Scott Key as a prisoner on a British vessel witnessed about the only successful U.S. endeavor(besides Andrew Jackson's feat at New Orleans in the War of 1812) at Fort McHenry. Whether it's the Pledge or the Anthem it makes no difference for when you quote Americana it belongs to nobody as much as it belongs to us all.

HELP! Roger Simon reports in Politico that Sen. Clinton will go after Sen. Obama's PLEDGED delegates (yes, the elected kind) if she needs them to win the nomination. The pledge would not even be binding in the first round. Can this really be, and could this really be happening in a party that calls itself democratic?!?

Re:the JFK materials. Either people are too young, or they have short memories. I VIVIDLY remember watching tv for 3 days straight after the assassination. The assertion that Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby didn't know each other is completely false. They may not have been close associates, but they DID know each other.

When Oswald was being brought out of the jail for transport, Ruby approached out of the crowd with a gun. Oswald distinctly said, "Jack, you son of a b-tch!" in the seconds before Ruby shot him. Nobody who sees a murder on live television is apt to forget it.

As I mentioned in my post that may or may not "make the cut," I wasn't even a twinkle in my parents' eyes when JFK was shot but have studied plenty of history. I thought it was the officer escorting Oswald who shouted to Jack Ruby. If memory serves, Jack Ruby knew plenty of Dallas cops.
